Nashville makes the Guitars

Nashville not only makes the music, Nashville makes the instruments with which the music is made. Gibson guitar has been in Nashville for a quarter of a century, making electric and acoustic instruments for professional musicians, and those who aspire to be. Although the factory is not open to the public, there is a luthier working in a viewing window at their store in Opry Mills mall, across from the Grand Ole Opry. For those who are blues fans, a museum opened near Beale St over in Memphis.

Down the road from Gibson is the Epiphone Guitar company. While most of the Epiphone company products are made overseas these days, their world distribution headquarters in Nashville keeps their product close to the pulse of the music industry.
