DON HELMS

Still "settin' the woods on fire."

Don Helms receives the LEGENDS AWARD from Jan Jones, President of the Nashville Tennessee Steel Guitar Association, at an NTSGA superJam.
At over eighty years of age, the last of the Drifting Cowboys still pleases audiences of all ages. Don Helms is best known by the public for his recordings with Hank Williams, and best known by his peers as an inspiration on both the musical and personal level. His recently released book, "Settin' the Woods on Fire" which was co-authored with Dale Vinicur, tells the story of this remarkable force in the country music industry. Included are interesting highlights about many people in and out of the music business.

(This website is a gift from many of Dons friends, in and out of Nashville, to his many friends and fans around the world. We welcome your stories about Don, and any pictures or other additions you wish to share. )
